2 FEET AND A HEARTBEAT
From May 2020 until February 2023 , I photographed in an area of his hometown, known as pandora street. a rough area where those who have nowhere to go , go. over the course of three years I documented individuals living in dire and rough conditions learning who each one was on a very personal level .
From the streets of Victoria , to the parks and surrounding areas,I followed and recorded with my camera the lives of a community ,living within the walls of another community and in doing so as well became a part of it ,with the grains of sand of time , withering away quicker than anyone could anticipate
I became addicted to the individuals as I was looking for a community of friends and people to connect with unknown at the time.
Growing up I was always different from others, I was disconnected from society, odd kid out and teenager. That carried all the way up until now. I am an underdog, and I will always root for the underdog.
Most of the people I photographed In that time frame have all disappeared whether it be they got housed , left the island , “got clean “ as one says, or have passed away .
The memories are seared into my mind, and I am eternally grateful for the time spent on the streets with my two feet and a heartbeat.
